After completing the highly competitive NHS Scientist Training Programme, Emma is now a specialist cardiac genetic counsellor currently working both in the NHS and in private practice.

Having trained alongside the very experienced ICC team in Leeds, Emma is currently based at the prestigious Royal Brompton Hospital in Chelsea, London working along side some of the UK’s leading cardiologists and geneticists in the field of inherited cardiac conditions (ICC)

Specialist areas with the field of ICC include sudden cardiac death, cardiomyopathy, inherited arrhythmia, whole genome sequencing, and non-syndromic paediatric cardiac conditions

Outside of working hours. Emma is a keen supporter of Cardiomyopathy UK having presented at local support groups and the national annual patient conference.
